Tree Rings

Tree Rings at Coeur d'Alene's Parks Day - Photo by 29k Productions

The historic tree growth rings in this photo catalog this tree's lifespan from 1878 to 2008. The cross-section of this tree is used in Coeur d'Alene's annual Parks Day Celebration as part of the urban forestry booth where visitors can pick up free seedlings for a variety of native trees, suitable for planting in the local Coeur d'Alene area.

This photo can be used close-up to view just the rings without the labels and serve as a beautiful background for business cards or other similar print purposes, or in its large, full size can be used for a variety of purposes demonstrating the timber industry or the long-term growth of forests and trees.

Stan Drennan has served on Coeur d'Alene's Parks Day Committee since 2011 and has volunteered 29k Productions photo and video services to the local event since 2009.
